The International Sculpture Center is seeking qualified volunteers for the 24th International Sculpture Conference: Sculpture, Culture, and Community in New Orleans, Louisiana from October 1-4, 2014. The 24th International Sculpture Conference is a four day event with numerous panel discussions, keynote speakers Alice Aycock and Fairfax Dorn, mentoring sessions, ARTSlams, networking events, optional activities, and more. Programming for the 24th International Sculpture Conference will take place at the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel, and Xavier University.
The 24th International Sculpture Conference volunteer opportunity offers 80% off the regular conference registration rate in exchange for 14 volunteer hours throughout the duration of the conference. Volunteers are also welcome to attend all of the conference sessions* while they are not volunteering, including:
- Panel discussions
- Keynote Speakers
- Receptions at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and New Orleans Museum of Art
- Programming at Xavier University
- Networking opportunities

Volunteers will gain valuable experience in running a multi-day arts event, and have exposure to stimulating artist presentations and activities while benefitting from networking opportunities with artists, collectors, curators, and arts administrators at the finest art institutions in New Orleans.
Main responsibilities of 24th International Sculpture Conference Volunteers are:
- Availability from October 1 – 4, 2014
- Tote bag assembly
- On-site sales and registration
- Attendance at mandatory orientation session and morning meetings
- Optional Tours accompaniment
- Timing panels, distributing, collecting surveys
- Monitoring ARTSlams and discussions
- Special events assistance
- Food set-up, distribution, clean-up
